New Zealand Players in IPL 2025: New Zealand Cricketers in IPL. Known as the nice guys of cricket, the Kiwi Players are always sought for in T20 leagues because of their incredible fitness, consistency and dedication towards the game. The Indian Premier League 2025 will have 8 New Zealand stars in action. They are spread out in different teams. From the new comer Rachin Ravindra to the senior pros like Boult and Williamson, a lot of fan favorite Kiwi players will play IPL 2025.

Numerous New Zealand Players showed interest in IPL and registered themselves for the IPL 2025 auction and 09 of them got picked up by 06 IPL Teams this season. Although New Zealand players are as skillful as anyone in world cricket but the competition in IPL is immense

  • Mitchell Santner (Chennai Super Kings) – The regular white-ball captain will be unavailable for national duty as he continues his stint with CSK.
  • Devon Conway (Chennai Super Kings) – Conway, an integral part of CSK, will remain with the franchise instead of playing against Pakistan.
  • Lockie Ferguson (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – The speedster will prioritize his commitments with RCB over the national team.
  • Glenn Phillips (Sunrisers Hyderabad) – The hard-hitting batter and wicketkeeper will be in action for SRH in IPL 2025.
  • Rachin Ravindra (Chennai Super Kings) – The young all-rounder, who had a great IPL debut season in 2024, will continue his journey with CSK.
  • Bevon Jacobs (Mumbai Indians) – The uncapped Kiwi all-rounder has secured an IPL contract and will be unavailable for New Zealand.

New Zealand Players in Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions Chennai Super Kings opted for 4 Kiwi Players in their squad. They retained Conway and Santner, while bought Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra in the auction. Mitchell was bought for a whopping 14 Crores while Rachin Ravindra got a 1.8 Crores contract.

Devon Conway was the third highest run getter of IPL 2025 and highest for CSK. He scored 672 runs in IPL 2025 averaging 51. Conway recently had a very good World Cup 2025 campaign scoring 372 runs at an average of 41. Santner on the other hand was able to play just 3 games of IPL 2025. However, Santner’s world cup campaign was phenomenal. He took 16 wickets and scored 100+ runs with the bat. Not to forget his outstanding fielding efforts that made highlights in the World Cup.

As far as Ravindra and Mitchell are concerned, they both also gave miraculous performances in World Cup 2025 that earned them IPL Contracts. Both of them were the top run getters of New Zealand in World Cup 2025 with 500+ runs each. Not to forget they both are part time bowlers too. Mitchell has previously been with the Rajasthan Royals while Ravindra will be making his IPL debut.

The Kiwi skipper, Kane Williamson who got injured last year during the IPL will feature for the Titans again. Kane had a serious injury in IPL 2025 that put his participation in the World Cup 2025 at risk. He could only play 4 games of World Cup 2025, scoring 256 runs at an average of 85. Despite the injury, Kane came back quite strongly and it is expected that he will pile up good runs in the IPL 2024 as well.

New Zealand Players in Rajasthan Royals

The Rajasthan Royals have the premier left arm pace bowler of New Zealand in their unit. Trent Boult was retained by them for yet another season. He picked 13 wickets in 10 IPL matches in 2025. Boult took 16 wickets in the 2022 season and has been a very consistent player for the Rajasthan Royals. In the World Cup 2025, he took 14 wickets in 10 matches. He recently completed the milestone of 600 international wickets too.

New Zealand Players in Royal Challengers Bangalore

Speedster Lockie Ferguson will be a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB purchased him for 2 crores in the auction this year. Prior to this year, Lockie was a part of KKR. He played only 3 games of IPL 2025, taking 1 wicket. At the World Cup, Ferguson took 10 wickets in 7 games. In the initial games, he got hammered for plenty of runs but later on in the event he recovered well. After the World Cup, Ferguson has not played any professional cricket at all.

New Zealand Players in Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Electric all-round specialist Glenn Phillips was retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Phillips played 5 games in his flop IPL 2025 campaign scoring just 39 runs. At the World Cup, Phillips took some stunning catches, scored 285 runs and took 6 wickets. His batting average was of 40, and he took 5 catches in the event too. Phillips was mighty effective on pitches that offered help for the spinners. He might have flopped in the IPL 2025, but in the World Cup, Phillips played brilliantly and hence SRH have put their faith in him once again.
