Just In: The Sindh Education Board includes Sarfraz Ahmed’s biography and achievements for the Pakistan Cricket Team in Class 4 Urdu Textbook. The former skipper called it an honor for him and his family and thanked Sindh Government for endorsing him as a Role Model.
While responding to the pictures of his biography circulating on Social Media, Sarfaraz said, “Thank you! This is a big honor for me. As role models we endeavor to inspire children. I would always be there to play my part in these efforts.”

Sarfaraz’s wife also stepped forward on this occasion and shared her emotions on Twitter. She said, “Thrilled! Just by imagining when my kids would read about their father along with friends & teachers! Can’t be more proud! Alhamdulillah.”
Sarfaraz Ahmad led the Pakistan Cricket Team to its first Champion Trophy Victory. He is regarded as one of the Most Successful Captains of Pakistan’s cricket as the team won two ICC titles in 2006 and 2017 under his captaincy.
The 35-year-old cricketer joined the Pakistan team in 2002. He was named the Captain of U-19 of Pakistan in 2006, and team Pakistan won their ICC Under-19 World Cup team in the same year under his captaincy. In 2017, history was repeated by Sarfaraz as Pakistan claimed their first-ever Champions Trophy title by defeating India in the Finals.
