At top of the order Fakhar Zaman boasts a T20 strike rate of 141.43 and capable of dismantling any bowling attack on his given day but he needs to be consistent as some time he through his wicket away. 

Lahore Qalandars Batsmen

South African Rassie van der Dussen although not available for the full PSL season but he adds stability and experience with a T20 average of 36.13 and strike rate of 133.23. West Indian Shai Hope is another experience player but take some time to settle in and not a highly sought player in T20 cricket.

In middle order Sikandar Raza offers experience and power (strike rate of 149.18), the middle order might lack depth compared to other teams. Shahibzada Farhan is also in good form and displayed his potential in all domestic competitions and got a national call-up. Abdullah Shafique’s T20 record is promising, but he needs to translate domestic success to the PSL stage.

LQ Bowlers

Pace spearhead, Shaheen Afridi, is a proven match-winner with 119 wickets in T20 cricket at an economy of 7.74. Haris Rauf, with his pace and variations, has 95 wickets at an economy of 8.49, further strengthening the attack.

Lahore Qalandars Bowlers

Zaman Khan is another fast bowler who can be lethal with his pace and variations at the depth and shown this many times. Liam Dawson will be the lead spinner as Rashid Khan will not be available due to injury. Young left arm wrist spinner Faridoun may alos get some chances to show his skills and variations.

LQ All-Rounders

David Wiese and Sikandar Raza are the two genuine all-rounders in his side with Shaheen Shah Afridi can also chip in with some handy runs lower down the order. Kmaran Ghulam is another batter who can roll his arm over if team needs.

Former first-class batsman Mansoor Rana continue as batting coach for LQ for 2025. Mansoor played 2 ODI’s for Pakistan in 1990 but with modest success.

Aaqib Javed will also fill the boots of the LQ bowling coach because of his expertise in this department.

Another local boy of Lahore Shahzad Butt will hold the position of fielding coach of LQ. Shahzad is a former fast bowler and played the game till 2009 so he knows a bit of ins and outs of the modern game.
