Afghanistan Players in Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders have two Afghan Players for IPL 2025. They retained hard-hitting wicket-keeping batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz. In 11 games of IPL 2025, Gurbaz managed only 227 runs averaging 20 with a strike rate of 145. However, Gurbaz recently showed how great of a batter he is in the World Cup where he played multiple good knocks. Gurbaz scored 280 runs in the world cup with an impressive strike rate of 98 and averaged 30+. He knows how to utilize PowerPlay conditions.
The second Afghan Player in the side is Mujeeb-ur-Rahman. Mujeeb was bought in the auction for 2 Crores. Rashid took 27 wickets for the Titans last year and finished as the 3rd best bowler of the event. He took 11 wickets in 9 matches and averaged 21 with the bat in the World Cup campaign for Afghanistan. However, after the World Cup he has been out of action due to injury. It is expected that he will be fit before the IPL 2025.
Noor Ahmad was also retained by the Titans. He took 16 wickets in 13 matches and was impressive with his variety. The young spinner last played in the Abu Dhabi T10 league where he was very impressive with the ball. Azmatullah Omarzai was picked in the Auction for 50 Lacs.
