West Indies Players in IPL 2025

West Indies Players in IPL 2025: West Indian Cricketers in IPL. No T20 league in the world is complete without Caribbean Players. There have been numerous T20 Stars from West Indies and they are the only side to win the ICC World T20 twice. The list of West Indies Players in IPL 2025 is also quite long.

IPL is one of the best T20 leagues in world cricket and it is incomplete without West Indies players just like the presence of West Indian Players in the Big Bash League and Pakistan Super Super League.

West Indies Players in Rajasthan Royals

Jason Holder, Obed McCoy and Shimron Hetmyer will be the 3 West Indian cricketers in Rajasthan Royals during IPL 2025. Holder was bagged in the auction for 5.75 Crore (INR). Holder has 200 wickets and 1800+ runs in T20 cricket. He is a strong hitter of the ball and bowls economically too. Obed McCoy and Shimron Hetmyer were retained by the Royals.

Hetmyer scored 314 runs in IPL 2022 at an average of 44 and strike rate of 153. In 7 Games, Obed McCoy managed 11 wickets at an average of 21. McCoy is a strong hitter of the ball too which makes him very useful in T20 format.

West Indies Players in Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow Super Giants also have 3 West Indian players in their lineup. These are; Romario Shepherd, Nicholas Pooran and Kyle Mayers. Nicholas Pooran got a whopping amount of 16 Crore (INR) in the auction. Romario Shepherd got 50 lac (INR) in the auction whereas all-rounder Kyle Mayers was retained by the LSG.

Nicholas Pooran was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 where he scored 306 runs at an average of 38 and strike rate of 144. Pooran was recently seen in explosive touch against South Africa after relinquishing the captaincy.

Romario Shepherd was also a part of SRH last year however he wasn’t that successful in IPL 2022. Shepherd was in good batting form recently when he smashed 41(18)* against South Africa in the 2nd T20I.

Kyle Mayers has not had the best time lately, however he does have the potential to deliver. Especially his aggressive approach at top of the top order suits well in shortest form of the game.

West Indies Players in Kolkata Knight Riders

It would be quite odd to see Kolkata Knight Riders without Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. These are the two Caribbean players in KKR Squad for IPL 2025.

Russell had a tremendous season for KKR in IPL 2022. He smashed 335 runs at an average of 37 and strike rate of 174. Narine on the other hand managed 9 wickets in 14 games. He had an average season yet KKR have faith in him to do better this time.

West Indies Players in Gujarat Titans

Alzarri Joseph and Odean Smith will be a part of the defending champions in IPL 2025. Odean Smith was picked for 50 Lac (INR) in the auction, while Joseph was retained.

Smith played the last season of IPL for Punjab Kings, where he did get wickets but had an economy rate of 11, hence was released. Joseph managed 7 wickets in 9 games last year for the Titans, having a bowling average of 37 and economy rate of 8.

West Indies Players in Sunrisers Hyderabad

Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein will be in Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2025. He was picked in the auction for 1 Crore (INR). Akeal bowled well in the T20I series between South Africa vs West Indies. Despite high scoring games, he kept his economy rate down which is a positive sign for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In IPL 2022, Akeal Hosein went unsold.

West Indies Players in Delhi Capitals

The current T20I Skipper of West Indies, Rovman Powell is a part of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. Powell was retained by the Capitals.

He managed 250 runs at an average of 25 and strike rate of 149. Powell averaged 27 in the recently concluded PSL with a strike rate of 167, which is a proof of his good batting form lately. He also had couple of good outings in the T20I series against South Africa with scores of 43* and 28.
